Angkor Wat part 2

While I were in Angkor wat, I met a young boy still at senior high school, I forgot his name was. Anyway, he started explaining about the wat, guiding and helping me take pictures. And you know what, he is good at it. His english is excellent, his knowledge about the angkor is fantastic better than my tuk-tuk driver. He told me that both his parent are farmer, very poor and have told him to stop studying bcos go to school need money. But he knows that study is very important, he don't want to end like his parent, being a farmer. He wants a better future so he keep studying but he needs money. So when he is not at school he will at angkor wat trying to be local guide. I know after guiding me I have to give him some tips, unfortunelly I did'nt have small money so I gave him 500 baht that is as much as my 3 day's tips in Bali, kkkkkk.... but I know he need it more than I do. These are some photos that he took !!

Angkor Wat !!

Someway somehow I managed to Cambodia, with a very long and frustrating journey.
In order to make a economical (bhs keren buat ngirit, kkkk....)trip, I decided to make overland to Cambodia from Bangkok so It took 6 hours by train from Hua Lampong, Bangkok to Arayanprathet (5:55am till 11:55am), Arayanprathet to the Border by Tuk-tuk, from border walking across to Poipet, and finally 4 hours from Poipet to Siam Reap by bus (I met several scam here, like the tuk-tuk driver tried to take me to make A Cambodian Visa which is more expensive than it should be and the cambodian officer told us to pay more for the express visa which is not neccesary, the bus driver took us to the restaurant where the foods prices are higher, etc).
Well, the next day I went to Angkor Wat (the ticket for 1 day is $20, 3 days is $40) after all that long and frustrating trip, seeing the Angkor make it all worth it.

Until now, I still fascinated how could mankind ever built something like that. It is huge, beautiful, amazing and unbelievable.
This Temple has been a very bless to many cambodian, It attracts tourist to come.
Cambodia is still a very poor country, it still struggeling. so friend, if you do visit the country, please stay alittle bit longer and do buy, spend some money on the cambodian. $1 or 2 means alittle for us but it does a big help to them. And these are some of the photos I took there, It's impossible to show you all the picture so I pick some of the best include the one where Angelina Jolie kicked asses in the film Tomb Rider (Sorry, My english is a mess, hehehehee..... If you have any question about traveling overland from Thailand to Cambodia don't hesitate to ask me maybe I can help)
